Gate arch

A low-poly night-market entrance gate: two red lacquered posts on stone plinths carry a framed sign board and an upswept charcoal roof with curled red ridge ornaments. Glowing red lanterns hang in the opening and string lights run along both eaves.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Gate arch for the Night Market kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It is a modular piece that snaps on a 1 m grid: give it a length in whole metres and put the origin at its snapping end, stated in meta.notes. This is one part of the Night Market kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Food stalls under string lights. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: warm red #d0253c, yellow #eecd2b, charcoal #34383d, teal #2d8686, warm red dark #8f1929, yellow dark #bda00f, warm red light #de6374, yellow light #f0db75, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `cuisineAndSignText` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Cuisine and sign text" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at defaults: 5 m long (5 grid cells) × about 1.85 m deep (roof eaves and light strands) × 6.12 m tall to the ridge ornaments. Clear opening: 3.4 m high under the tie beam and 3.8 m between the posts; the lantern tassels hang down to about 2.5 m. Modular: span is whole metres along +X. The origin is at the snapping end (x = 0), centred in depth, with the plinth footings resting on y = 0. Everything stays inside x 0 to span, so the next module snaps at x = span. The front faces +Z, and the front and back are both fully dressed. This differs from the library's bottom-centre origin because the brief asks for the origin at the snapping end. The GLB has 2,784 triangles in 28 meshes (one per part and colour) and no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 12 are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. Lantern skins and bulbs carry a soft emissive glow. The sign has no text or logo; its 'lettering' is abstract diamond plaques. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change the geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. cuisineAndSignText (the kit's 'Cuisine and sign text') makes the sign board taller (0.50 m to 0.85 m), sets the number of plaques (2 to 5) and lengthens the post banners. Raising it also raises the roof by up to 0.35 m. glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 heuristic warnings. Two are about the material count and duplicate materials, both caused by per-mesh materials. One flags sibling overlaps where collars, bands and brackets are deliberately embedded. The last compares the 6 m height with the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. three-check accepts those ids, and all 8 survive the GLB reload.

About the Gate arch 3D model

Gate arch is a free low-poly 3D model from the Night Market set. It measures 4.9 m × 6.1 m × 1.9 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,784 triangles across 28 meshes, with 8 named parts. Download the 164 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Gate arch 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 164 KB: 2,784 triangles, 5,066 vertices and 28 materials, modelled in metres at 4.9 m × 6.1 m × 1.9 m.
Can I animate Gate arch?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 8 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Gate arch 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
