How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Display cases for the Museum kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Museum kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Quiet halls of old things. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: marble white #f4f1ec, deep red #861313, brass #b28c34, slate #525e6f, marble white dark #d7cebc, deep red dark #430a0a, marble white light #f9f8f6, deep red light #c32222, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `collectionTheme` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Collection theme" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.10 m wide x 0.60 m deep x 1.45 m tall (0.90 m cabinet + 0.55 m glass hood); origin bottom centre, front faces +Z, rests on y = 0. 756 triangles, static, no animation clip. Material names are the Museum kit palette colour names (dark wood, deep red dark, brass, marble white light, deep red, soot black, marble white, marble white dark, warm white, slate). The glass is a flat translucent tint (opacity 0.2, alpha blend), not a reflective material. The exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so some palette names appear more than once in the GLB (14 material slots, 10 unique names); recolour by material name. Collection theme swaps the second artefact: 0-0.33 brass bowl, 0.33-0.67 stone stele (default, shipped GLB), 0.67-1 mineral specimen on a slate deck (adds the mid grey material). Part ids are museum-display-cases.*; they sit under structural group nodes vitrine.cabinet, vitrine.hood and vitrine.exhibit. glb-lint: 0 errors, 3 non-blocking warnings (duplicate per-mesh material copies, intentional nesting of the panels and mouldings around the cabinet body).

About the Display cases 3D model

Display cases is a free low-poly 3D model from the Museum set. It measures 1.1 m × 1.4 m × 66 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 756 triangles across 14 meshes, with 14 named parts. Download the 52 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Display cases 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 52 KB: 756 triangles, 1,380 vertices and 14 materials, modelled in metres at 1.1 m × 1.4 m × 66 cm.
Can I animate Display cases?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 14 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Display cases 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
