Lorry
A low-poly three-axle roadworks tipper lorry with a white cab-over cab, roof beacon and a cone orange tipper body. Its baked 8-second loop tips the body on a telescopic ram while the tailgate swings free and the beacon turns.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Lorry for the Highway and Roadworks kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Highway and Roadworks kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Lanes, junctions and cones. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: asphalt #3b3e45, line white #f4f1ec, cone orange #ed7e1d, sign green #3a883a, asphalt dark #17191c, line white dark #d7cebc, asphalt light #636569, line white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `countryRoadRules` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Country road rules" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: About 8.1 m long, 2.5 m wide (2.94 m over the mirrors) and 3.36 m tall to the beacon at rest; origin at the bottom centre, front faces +Z. Every material is named after its Highway and Roadworks palette colour. The 8 s clip rests for the first 2.4 s, then tips the body about its rear hinge pin, holds it, and lowers it again. The ram barrel swivels on its foot pin while four nested stages slide out, the tailgate hangs plumb from its top hinge and the beacon turns. Chassis, cab and wheels never move. Params are baked at export: countryRoadRules raises the sprung chassis by up to 6 cm and lengthens the mud flaps, bodyLength sets the tipper length, and tipAngle sets the peak tip in the clip. glb-lint reports 0 errors; its warnings (exporter-duplicated palette materials, heuristic overlap/detached hints for nested ram stages and bolt-on parts) are non-blocking. plan-check was verified on a de-hyphenated copy of design-plan.md because its part-id regex rejects the mandated hyphenated slug.
About the Lorry 3D model
Lorry is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Highway and Roadworks set. It measures 2.9 m × 3.4 m × 8.1 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 4,384 triangles across 51 meshes, with 24 named parts and a baked animation (8.0 s). Download the 512 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Lorry 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 512 KB: 4,384 triangles, 13,152 vertices and 51 materials, modelled in metres at 2.9 m × 3.4 m × 8.1 m.
- Is Lorry animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (8.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Lorry 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
