Sheet-covered chairs
A wingback armchair and a side chair hidden under dust sheets, with low-hanging corners, ragged hems and dark-wood legs showing underneath. Moth-eaten eye holes with faint amber glints, cobwebs and moss grow with the decay level.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Sheet-covered chairs for the Haunted Mansion kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Haunted Mansion kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A decaying house that watches back. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: faded purple #81688d, bone #e4ddcd, moss #55743e, candle amber #ec9c13, faded purple dark #584861, bone dark #c9ba9c, faded purple light #a497aa, bone light #f9f8f5, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `decayLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Decay level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Real-world size about 2.04 m wide x 1.15 m tall x 1.21 m deep at the default two chairs (the wingback alone is about 1.1 m wide, 1.15 m tall and 1.0 m deep; the side chair is about 1.03 m tall). Origin at bottom centre, front +Z, legs on y = 0; the hems hang just above the floor and never touch it. 2464 triangles. Seven materials, each named exactly after its Haunted Mansion palette colour. The runtime exports one copy of a material per mesh, so 'dark wood' appears four times in the GLB, all with the same name and values. The faceting is intended: geometry is non-indexed with flat normals. The sheets are open at the hem and use double-sided materials, so you can look up underneath them; a hidden dark-wood seat frame sits under each sheet. Static prop with no animation clip. decayLevel (the kit's Decay level) controls how ragged the hems are, how much the seats sag, the size of the eye holes and their amber glints, the number of moth holes, the size of the cobwebs and how many moss tufts there are. At decayLevel 0 the eye holes stay as small tears, so the part ids are the same at every setting. chairCount 1 gives the armchair alone and 3 adds a second side chair on the left; the side-chair part ids exist only when those chairs do. Part ids use the 'chairs.' prefix because the kit's id validator does not allow hyphens in the first segment. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 heuristic warnings, all intended (non-indexed faceting, the duplicate dark wood material copies, and decals, webs and seat frames that sit on or inside other parts rather than touching the ground). The dark floor disc and the backdrop exist only in the viewer and are not part of the GLB.
About the Sheet-covered chairs 3D model
Sheet-covered chairs is a free low-poly 3D model from the Haunted Mansion set. It measures 2.0 m × 1.1 m × 1.2 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,464 triangles across 10 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 183 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Sheet-covered chairs 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 183 KB: 2,464 triangles, 7,392 vertices and 10 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 1.1 m × 1.2 m.
- Can I animate Sheet-covered chairs?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Sheet-covered chairs 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
