Lanterns

A cluster of three warm-glowing elven lanterns hung at different heights by silver chains from one curved branch bracket. Each lantern is a closed frosted body inside a slim faceted gold cage with a pointed leaf cap, and they sway gently in a seamless 4-second loop while the bracket stays still.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Lanterns for the Elven Treetop City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Elven Treetop City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Platforms and bridges high in giant trees. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: leaf green #3a883a, silver #b9bfc6, bark brown #6b4a2e, soft gold #cfaf59, leaf green dark #235223, silver dark #8f99a3, leaf green light #5db15d, silver light #e4e6e7, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id. It must read as a lantern at a glance: a cluster of three elven lanterns at different heights, each a closed glowing body (frosted glass or leaf-paper, warm white, emissive) inside a slim curved silver or soft-gold frame with a pointed leaf-shaped cap, hung by chains from one curved branch bracket. The lantern bodies sway gently in the loop; the bracket stays still. Every part must physically touch what supports it — no floating parts (weapons rest in their slots, lanterns hang from chains attached to the bracket, flowers sit in the urn).

Note: Size: 1.14 m tall, 0.73 m wide, 0.28 m deep, seated on y = 0 at bottom centre. Three lanterns hang at different heights (and slightly different depths) from one curved bark-brown branch bracket; the bracket is stationary while the three lanterns swing as pendulums in a baked 4 s clip. The season knob recolours the pointed leaf caps through the kit greens (0 = leaf green light, 0.5 = leaf green, 1 = leaf green dark); the glowing warm-white bodies stay warm white. All materials are named exactly after the Elven Treetop City palette. The 0.26 m depth spread only affects how the cluster reads from a side orbit. The viewer uses a soft contact-shadow ground instead of the direction's stage disc; staging is not inside the exported GLB.
