Canopy tiles

A modular 4 x 4 m treetop platform tile for the Elven Treetop City kit: a plank deck framed in bark beams with gold corner joinery, silver rivets and a single low-poly tree rising to a rounded leaf canopy. Built in the flat-lowpoly direction, it drops onto a grid and tiles in every direction.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Canopy tiles for the Elven Treetop City kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. Make it a ground piece on an exact 4 × 4 m footprint with flat edges at y = 0 that tile seamlessly with its neighbours in every direction; origin at the tile centre. This is one part of the Elven Treetop City kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Platforms and bridges high in giant trees. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: leaf green #3a883a, silver #b9bfc6, bark brown #6b4a2e, soft gold #cfaf59, leaf green dark #235223, silver dark #8f99a3, leaf green light #5db15d, silver light #e4e6e7, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `season` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Season" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Scale: one tile is exactly 4 x 4 m in plan and 2.18 m tall (deck top 0.16 m, canopy top 2.18 m); the origin is at the tile centre with flat edges at y = 0, so copies tile seamlessly in every direction and rest on the ground. The season knob (0-1, default 0.5) is a build-time switch that moves the leaf palette from spring light green through summer green to autumn gold and thins the canopy - it changes materials and clump size, not a clip. This is a static piece: the GLB carries no animation. Material names are the kit palette colour names (dark wood, bark brown, soft gold, silver, silver dark, leaf green, leaf green dark, leaf green light) so the kit recolours as one. glb-lint was run without a requirements contract, so its verdict is 'unverified' with 0 blocking errors; its 3 warnings (converging branch overlaps, trim pieces seated on the frame but grouped separately, and a 2.18 m height against the direction's 1 m scale anchor) are expected for this asset. The shadow plane in the viewer is staging only and is not part of the exported model.
