Scorched shields

A small pile of battle shields the dragon's breath left in the hoard: a quartered round hero shield leaning back on a heater shield tipped over its back, and a charred targe dropped face-up beside them, hero rim resting on its edge.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Scorched shields for the Dragon's Hoard Cavern kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Dragon's Hoard Cavern kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A vast cave piled with treasure. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: gold #d0a225, ruby red #c32222, obsidian #17161d, cave blue #2e67b8, gold dark #8f7019, ruby red dark #821717, gold light #debd63, ruby red light #db5757, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `dragonColourAndSize` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Dragon colour and size" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: The pile stands ~1.0 m tall at the shipped defaults (hero disc 0.90 m across, believable tabletop-to-war scale) and rests on y=0 — the kite's bottom point and the targe's rim touch the ground, the hero's bottom rim rests on the fallen targe's rim edge. Scorch is modeled geometry (jagged char plates, a burnt rim arc, three claw-slash darts and ember slivers), not a texture; all overlay plates are embedded ~0.5 mm into the surface beneath so nothing floats. Material names are exact kit palette names so the set recolours as one. dragonColourAndSize recolours the heraldic paint (cave blue below 0.34, ruby red below 0.67, obsidian above) and scales the whole pile 0.80x-1.25x; shieldCount 1 drops the hero alone face-up, 2 skips the kite; scorchAmount grows the burns; leanAngle re-seats the lean; scorchSeed reseeds burn placement. The lint's detached-parts and sibling-overlap heuristics flag these embedded overlays and the part-group structure — verified non-issues, as on the other kit assets. The viewer's dark stage and contact shadow are outside the exported model root.
