Pool

A low-poly cruise ship lido pool: a white basin with a light coping and a coral waterline band, raised on a teak-decked plinth, with grab-rail ladders, entry steps and a lifebuoy on a post.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Pool for the Cruise Ship Deck kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cruise Ship Deck kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A floating holiday. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: white #f4f1ec, teak #815731, pool blue #2e67b8, sunset coral #e2715a, white dark #d7cebc, teak dark #4a311c, white light #f9f8f6, teak light #b37c4d, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `shipLength` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Ship length" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at defaults: the plinth is 10.5 × 6.5 m (7.26 m deep including the front and back steps) and 0.3 m high. The basin is 8 × 4 m inside, its coping is 0.76 m above the ground, the ladder rails reach 1.38 m and the lifebuoy post 1.55 m. Only the above-deck part of the pool is modelled; the water is one solid body, so there is no pool floor to see. The origin is at the bottom centre, the bottom rests on y = 0, and the long front side with the ladders faces +Z. The GLB has 1,664 triangles in 13 meshes and no animation clip; it is a static asset. It uses 9 of the 12 kit colours, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and change the geometry only when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. shipLength (the kit's 'Ship length') sets the basin length from 6 m (0) to 10 m (1). The maximum of every param was checked together (2,016 triangles, still PASS). glb-lint: 0 errors. Its verdict prints UNVERIFIED because 5 rules need a requirements contract or a manual review. Its heuristic warnings were reviewed and do not apply: the coping, water, ladders and post are seated in or on the walls and deck, and the overlaps are the intended nesting of band, gutter and seams. plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens in the slug-based ids this library requires. A copy with the hyphens removed passes, and three-check accepts the ids.

About the Pool 3D model

Pool is a free low-poly 3D model from the Cruise Ship Deck set. It measures 11 m × 1.6 m × 7.3 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,664 triangles across 13 meshes, with 7 named parts. Download the 129 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Pool 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 129 KB: 1,664 triangles, 4,956 vertices and 13 materials, modelled in metres at 11 m × 1.6 m × 7.3 m.
Can I animate Pool?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 7 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Pool 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
