Balcony
A low-poly city-flat balcony for the Cozy Apartment kit: a concrete slab with oak decking and a black steel railing under an oak handrail, set against a sage façade with glazed French doors. A mustard bistro table, a folding chair, a hanging flower box and a corner pot plant make it look lived in.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Balcony for the Cozy Apartment kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cozy Apartment kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A small lived-in city flat. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: warm white #f9f7f5, oak #8f693d, mustard #c39b22, sage #89a178, warm white dark #ddd2c6, oak dark #594126, warm white light #f9f7f6, oak light #b48f64, soot black #1b1b22, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `wallColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Wall colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 2.4 m wide by 1.1 m deep balcony slab (0.16 m concrete plus 25 mm oak decking), with a 1.0 m guard rail. It sits against a 3.0 m wide, 2.8 m tall, 0.22 m thick façade stub that holds 1.3 m French doors. The overall footprint is about 3.0 × 1.5 m (the flower box hangs about 0.2 m past the front rail). Origin: bottom centre of the footprint; the model rests on y = 0, the balcony faces +Z, and the wall's back (room side) faces -Z. The slab underside is at y = 0, so to mount the balcony on an upper floor, raise the whole model. The GLB has 1,916 triangles in 23 meshes, is static and carries no animation clip; three-check's 2,206-triangle figure also counts the viewer's staging ground, which is not exported. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 11 are used at the defaults. wallColour (the kit's 'Wall colour') picks the façade paint in four steps: 0–0.25 warm white, 0.25–0.5 warm white dark, 0.5–0.75 sage (default), 0.75–1 mustard; in an engine, recolour the material named 'sage' instead. width, depth and plants (0 = none, 1 = flower box, 2 = flower box and corner pot) rebuild the model. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer; only the defaults were rendered and checked. glb-lint: 0 errors, plus heuristic warnings that are expected here: per-mesh materials sharing palette names, non-indexed (hard flat-shaded) geometry, overlapping siblings (trim and doors set into the wall), decking and railing flagged as 'detached' even though they sit on the slab, and the 2.8 m height against the direction's 1 m reference. plan-check rejects only the hyphenated library part ids, because its regex allows no hyphen; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check and the GLB reload keep all 6 planned ids. Fix round 1: rebuilt the façade as one extruded panel with a door hole, which removed the visible seams between wall boxes.
About the Balcony 3D model
Balcony is a free low-poly 3D model from the Cozy Apartment set. It measures 3.0 m × 2.8 m × 1.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,916 triangles across 23 meshes, with 29 named parts. Download the 156 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Balcony 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 156 KB: 1,916 triangles, 5,748 vertices and 23 materials, modelled in metres at 3.0 m × 2.8 m × 1.5 m.
- Can I animate Balcony?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 29 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Balcony 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
