Unicycle

A low-poly circus unicycle with a 20-inch striped disc wheel, a midnight-blue fork with gold trim, a striped seatpost and a curved saddle with a gold front handle, standing in a small wooden roller display stand. A 4-second seamless loop spins the wheel and cranks while the pedals stay level and the stand rollers turn under the tyre.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Unicycle for the Circus kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Circus kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): The big top comes to town. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red and white stripes #f4f1ec, gold #d0a225, midnight blue #123464, red and white stripes dark #d7cebc, gold dark #8f7019, red and white stripes light #f9f8f6, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stripeColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stripe colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: 0.40 m wide (pedal to pedal) × 1.01 m tall × 0.51 m deep (tyre front to back). The wheel is 0.508 m (20 in) and the saddle top sits about 1.0 m above the floor, standing in a 0.34 m roller stand. The origin is at the bottom centre of the stand, the model rests on y = 0, and the saddle handle faces +Z. The GLB has 1,968 triangles in 33 meshes. Animation clip 'scene-motion' runs 4 s and is seamless: the wheel turns twice on its axle and carries both cranks, each pedal swivels on its own spindle to stay level, and the two rollers turn on their axles at 8× the wheel rate (roller radius = wheel radius / 8), so the surface speeds match. The stand, frame, seatpost and saddle never move. All pivots sit exactly on their axle or spindle. stripeColours (the kit's 'Stripe colours') picks the colour that alternates with 'red and white stripes' on the disc wheel and seatpost: gold below 0.33, midnight blue from 0.33 to 0.67 (the default), and 'red and white stripes dark' above 0.67, which gives a subtle tone-on-tone stripe. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and 8 of the 11 colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so names repeat: recolour by name. The GLB is baked at the default params; the params only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both extremes passed three-check (0.62 m wheel / 0.40 m post / 0.15 m cranks / stripes 1, and 0.40 m wheel / 0.08 m post / 0.09 m cranks / stripes 0). glb-lint: 0 errors and 4 expected heuristic warnings (material count and duplicate names from one material per mesh, non-indexed geometry for flat facets, and nested parts on the rollers, wheel and saddle). Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects only the hyphen in the slug-based part ids this library requires, because its id regex allows no hyphen. The same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. Fix rounds: (1) the hero view was widened so the saddle and stand are no longer cropped; (2) the saddle got its upturned nose and tail, and a hidden seatpost stub was removed.

About the Unicycle 3D model

Unicycle is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Circus set. It measures 40 cm × 1.0 m × 51 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 1,968 triangles across 33 meshes, with 12 named parts and a baked animation (4.0 s). Download the 194 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Unicycle 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 194 KB: 1,968 triangles, 5,904 vertices and 33 materials, modelled in metres at 40 cm × 1.0 m × 51 cm.
Is Unicycle animated?
Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (4.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Unicycle 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
