Big top
A low-poly circus big top: a round blue-and-white striped tent whose concave roof rises to a gold cupola and a king pole with a pennant. A scalloped gold valance hangs from the eave, side poles are guyed out to wooden stakes, and a striped gabled entrance porch with a starred pediment faces the front.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Big top for the Circus kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Circus kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): The big top comes to town. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red and white stripes #f4f1ec, gold #d0a225, midnight blue #123464, red and white stripes dark #d7cebc, gold dark #8f7019, red and white stripes light #f9f8f6, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stripeColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stripe colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: the tent is 28 m across with a 4.2 m sidewall. The eave sits at 4.4 m and the roof crown at 13 m. The gold cupola tops out at 14.65 m, and the king-pole finial is the highest point at 17.43 m. The guy-rope stakes ring the tent at about 17.2 m radius, so the full footprint is about 34 m wide by 36 m deep, including the 5 m wide entrance porch, which projects 3.8 m out at the front. The origin is the centre of the tent on y = 0, and the entrance faces +Z. This is a static model with no animation clip. 'Stripe colours' (the kit's knob) picks the colour that alternates with the white canvas on the roof, sidewall and porch, and it steps between palette colours rather than blending: gold below 0.33, midnight blue from 0.33 to 0.66 (the default), and a tone-on-tone 'red and white stripes dark' above that. The king-pole flag and side pennants follow the same choice. diameter, peakHeight and stripeCount reshape the tent, and the pole, rope and scallop counts follow stripeCount. The GLB is baked at the default params, so the params only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. Both extremes (22 m / 10 m / 16 stripes / gold, and 36 m / 16 m / 32 stripes / tone-on-tone) passed three-check with 0 glb-lint errors. Part ids use 'circus.big_top.*' rather than 'circus-big-top.*' because the kit's part-id format does not allow hyphens. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour, and all 11 kit colours are used. The exporter writes one material per mesh (26 in total), so names repeat: recolour by name. The tent has a downward-facing ground cap so it reads as closed from below, but the interior is not modelled. The viewer's staging ground and light rig are not in the GLB. The GLB has 3,504 triangles in 26 meshes. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 6 heuristic warnings, all expected: material count and duplicate names come from one material per mesh; the geometry is non-indexed on purpose for flat facets; the overlaps are roof and wall stripe meshes sharing a bounding box, plus pennants on poles; the 'detached' soffit is the only mesh in its group and meets the sidewall top and roof eave; the height warning only compares against a 1 m reference. The lint verdict line reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied.
About the Big top 3D model
Big top is a free low-poly 3D model from the Circus set. It measures 34 m × 17 m × 36 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 3,504 triangles across 26 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 357 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Big top 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 357 KB: 3,504 triangles, 10,512 vertices and 26 materials, modelled in metres at 34 m × 17 m × 36 m.
- Can I animate Big top?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Big top 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
