How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Hoops for the Circus kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Circus kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): The big top comes to town. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: red and white stripes #f4f1ec, gold #d0a225, midnight blue #123464, red and white stripes dark #d7cebc, gold dark #8f7019, red and white stripes light #f9f8f6, gold light #debd63, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `stripeColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Stripe colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size at default params: about 1.59 m wide x 1.78 m tall x 0.65 m deep. The jump hoop is 1.1 m across (outside) and its bottom sits 0.42 m off the floor. Origin is bottom centre on y = 0 and the hoop faces +Z. The GLB has 2092 triangles in 24 meshes. It is static and has no animation clip. Every material is named exactly after a Circus kit palette colour, so recolour by name: the exporter writes one material per mesh, so 8 colour names appear on 27 materials. stripeColours (the kit's 'Stripe colours') sets how much of each stripe pair is the coloured stripe: 0 gives thin blue pinstripes on white, 0.5 gives equal bands, 1 gives mostly-blue hoops with thin white bands. It also applies to the spare hoops. hoopDiameter and hoopClearance resize the hoop, and the posts, rail and peg follow. stripeCount sets the stripe pairs, and spareHoops hangs 0 to 2 hoops on the peg. The GLB is baked at default params; the params only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. A maximum-params build (1.4 m hoop, 0.7 m clearance, 20 stripes, stripeColours 1) also passed three-check. glb-lint: 0 errors and 3 expected warnings: material count, duplicate-named materials, and the hoop arms deliberately sunk into the hoop tube. Its verdict reads UNVERIFIED only because no requirements contract was supplied. plan-check rejects the hyphen in the slug-based part ids this library requires; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. The fix round thickened the hoop tube from 68 to 80 mm so it reads at thumbnail size, and made the camera views fit portrait screens.

About the Hoops 3D model

Hoops is a free low-poly 3D model from the Circus set. It measures 1.6 m × 1.8 m × 65 cm (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,092 triangles across 27 meshes, with 28 named parts. Download the 115 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.

Is the Hoops 3D model free for commercial use?
Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
What file format is it, and how big is it?
A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 115 KB: 2,092 triangles, 3,576 vertices and 27 materials, modelled in metres at 1.6 m × 1.8 m × 65 cm.
Can I animate Hoops?
It ships as a static mesh. Its 28 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
Which engines and tools can open it?
Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
How was the Hoops 3D model made?
Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
