Bath alcove
A low-poly bath alcove: a built-in white bathtub filling a three-walled recess tiled in mint with a darker feature row, with a chrome spout, mixer and shower riser on the end wall and a pleated curtain on a chrome rail. A wooden caddy with soap, foam on the water, a towel over the rim and a bath mat on a tiled floor apron finish it.

Left rail: colours and the 4 knobs the agent wrote into this model — they rebuild the geometry and go into your download. Right rail: looks for the viewer. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Bath alcove for the Bathroom and Laundry kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Bathroom and Laundry kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Tiles, steam and soap. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: mint #90d5b3, white #f4f1ec, chrome #cad1d8, soft grey #999999, mint dark #59c08c, white dark #d7cebc, mint light #c9e8d9, white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `tileColour` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Tile colour" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: 1.9 m wide (x), 1.5 m deep (z) and 2.14 m tall. The tub is 1.7 m long, 0.8 m deep and 0.55 m to its rim, set in an alcove with 0.1 m walls 2.1 m high (plus a 4 cm cap). A 0.6 m tiled floor apron sits in front. The open front faces +Z, and the origin is at the bottom centre, resting on y = 0. The exported model has 2,912 triangles in 24 meshes (merged per part and colour) and no animation clip. Normals are baked flat (non-indexed). All 12 kit colours are used, and every material is named exactly after its palette colour. The exporter writes one material per mesh, so the same colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The wall backs are plain plaster, because the alcove is meant to sit against room walls, but they are closed and finished from every angle. The water is an opaque mint light slab with no basin modelled under it. Params are baked into the GLB at their defaults and only change geometry when the scene is rebuilt in the viewer. tileColour (the kit's 'Tile colour') steps the wall tiles through white → mint light → mint → mint dark in four bands. The feature row and grout switch to stay in contrast. tubLength rescales the alcove and re-counts the tiles, wallHeight changes the wall, tile rows, rail and shower riser heights, and curtainDrawn pulls the pleated curtain from gathered at the right end to the full width. The param extremes were checked by reading the geometry limits, not by a capture. glb-lint: 0 errors and 5 heuristic warnings: material count and duplicate materials (from the per-mesh materials), unindexed geometry (flat shading on purpose), sibling overlap (trims and tiles embedded on purpose) and scale (compared with the direction's 1 m reference). plan-check passes except for its part-id regex, which rejects the hyphens this library's slug-based ids need; the same plan with the slug de-hyphenated passes. three-check accepts those ids, and all 9 survive the GLB reload.
About the Bath alcove 3D model
Bath alcove is a free low-poly 3D model from the Bathroom and Laundry set. It measures 1.9 m × 2.1 m × 1.5 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,912 triangles across 24 meshes, with 9 named parts. Download the 225 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Bath alcove 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 225 KB: 2,912 triangles, 8,736 vertices and 24 materials, modelled in metres at 1.9 m × 2.1 m × 1.5 m.
- Can I animate Bath alcove?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 9 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Bath alcove 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
