Mansion in modular wings
A low-poly haunted Victorian mansion built from modules: a tall central hall with a steep front gable, lower gabled wings on both sides, an octagonal corner tower with a spire and weathervane, a columned porch and tall chimneys. Two amber-lit windows high in the gable look out like eyes, and boarded windows, hanging shutters, torn roof patches and moss show its decay.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Mansion in modular wings for the Haunted Mansion kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Haunted Mansion kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A decaying house that watches back. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: faded purple #81688d, bone #e4ddcd, moss #55743e, candle amber #ec9c13, faded purple dark #584861, bone dark #c9ba9c, faded purple light #a497aa, bone light #f9f8f5, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `decayLevel` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Decay level" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: At default params the house is about 24.5 m wide, 21.6 m tall and 12.7 m deep (x/y/z), counting the chimney, eaves, porch steps and the weathervane on the spire. The central hall is 9 x 9 m with 3.2 m storeys on a 0.6 m stone foundation. The origin is at the bottom centre, the model rests on y = 0, and the front porch faces +Z. 7576 triangles at default; the heaviest setting (4 storeys, two 9 m wings, decay 1) is 9952. 11 of the 12 kit colours are used (bone light is not). Material names are exactly the palette colour names. The runtime exporter writes one material copy per mesh, so the GLB holds 47 material entries that share those 11 names. Everything is flat-shaded with non-indexed faceting on purpose. Lit windows and the door transom have a mild amber emissive. decayLevel (the kit's Decay level) controls torn roof patches, moss at the eaves and foundations, boarded windows, hanging and missing shutters, missing porch balusters, a snapped porch rail (above 0.6), the front door hanging ajar (above 0.45) and a crumbled right-wing chimney with fallen bricks (above 0.4). The two gable 'eye' windows stay lit at every decay level. wingCount 1 keeps only the left wing and 0 removes both; the wing part ids stay in the file as empty groups so the part list never changes. Wings are always one storey lower than the hall. The layout is seeded (seed 1887) and deterministic. Part ids use the 'hauntedmansionmansioninmodularwings.' prefix because the kit's part-id validator does not allow hyphens. This is a static asset with no animation clip. glb-lint reports 0 errors and 5 expected warnings: material copies, non-indexed faceting, nested part bounds, the 21.6 m height compared with the 1 m default reference, and material count.
About the Mansion in modular wings 3D model
Mansion in modular wings is a free low-poly 3D model from the Haunted Mansion set. It measures 24 m × 22 m × 13 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 7,576 triangles across 47 meshes, with 12 named parts. Download the 573 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Mansion in modular wings 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 573 KB: 7,576 triangles, 22,728 vertices and 47 materials, modelled in metres at 24 m × 22 m × 13 m.
- Can I animate Mansion in modular wings?
- It ships as a static mesh. Its 12 named parts are separate nodes, so you can move or animate each one in your engine.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Mansion in modular wings 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
