Neon signs

A free-standing street neon sign pylon for a cyberpunk back alley: a round crown sign, a tall blade sign with stacked neon glyphs on brackets, and an arrow sign with marquee bulbs, all on one steel pole with neon on both faces.

How it was made

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:

Neon signs for the Cyberpunk Alley kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. This is one part of the Cyberpunk Alley kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): A rain-soaked back street under neon. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: black #151619, neon pink #f994b6, cyan #20c6df, sodium yellow #eecd2b, black dark #090a0b, neon pink dark #f64c84, black light #3a3c40, neon pink light #fcdee8, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `neonColours` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Neon colours" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Static prop at street scale: about 1.4 m wide x 0.58 m deep x 3.03 m high at default params (pole 2.4 m, crown sign 0.68 m across, blade sign 0.44 x 1.2 m, arrow 0.74 m long); origin at the bottom centre of the plinth, rests on y = 0, front faces +Z. Every sign carries neon tubes on both faces. The glyphs are abstract shapes, not letters. neonColours (the kit's Neon colours knob) picks the neon scheme: 0-0.33 hot pink (neon pink dark / neon pink light / neon pink), 0.34-0.66 tri-colour (neon pink dark outline, cyan glyphs and crown ring, sodium yellow arrow and bolt; the default), 0.67-1 cyan-led (cyan outline, neon pink dark glyphs, sodium yellow arrow). The neon and bulb materials use a mild emissive in their own palette colour, so they glow in engines without bloom. poleHeight raises the crown, blade and arrow together; bladeLength stretches the blade cabinet downward; glyphCount sets how many neon glyphs stack in the blade. Part ids use the slug sanitized to cyberpunkalleyneonsigns because the kit's part-id grammar does not allow hyphens. The exporter clones each mesh's material, so the GLB lists 19 materials, but every one carries an exact palette name. The lint warnings (material count, duplicate materials, unindexed flat-shaded geometry, intended sibling overlap, scale vs a 1 m reference) follow from that and from the intended prop scale. No animation clips; the ground disc in the viewer is staging only.
