Why it matters

AI tools love to offer 'variations' that are the same idea recolored. Real variants disagree: different layout, different mood, different structure — then blind compare strips the identity of which agent or prompt made which, so the winner won on merit. The reason you give for the pick feeds the next turn.

FAQ

How are variants different from re-rolling?

A re-roll retries the same direction. A variant set plans 2–4 different directions deliberately — the diversity is designed in, then floor-checked before you see it.

What does 'blind' mean here?

You don't see which variant came from which plan or agent until you've picked. The judgement is visual, not a bet on a name.

Can different variants use different agents?

Yes — the driving agent is a per-turn choice, so variant runs can be driven by different CLIs answering the same brief.
