Race cars
A low-poly open-wheel single-seater race car with a needle nose, sidepods, halo, helmeted driver, front and rear wings and four exposed slick tyres. It loops a 6 s drive cycle: wheels roll, the front wheels weave, the driver looks into the turn and the DRS flap opens and closes.

The brief given to 1DesignTool's “3D object” template:
Race cars for the Racing Circuit kit. Design it as one clear asset at believable real-world scale for that setting (state the size in metres in meta.notes), with its main parts modelled and named, readable at thumbnail size and from every orbit angle. It moves: author a seamless baked loop (2–12 s) with every pivot exactly at its hinge, axle or swivel, and keep the base still. This is one part of the Racing Circuit kit (Low-poly style, flat-lowpoly direction): Speed, pit stops and crowds. Use ONLY the kit palette, by name: tarmac #34373d, kerb red and white #f4f1ec, flag colours #988e81, grass #539b3b, tarmac dark #101113, kerb red and white dark #d7cebc, tarmac light #5c5d61, kerb red and white light #f9f8f6, soot black #1b1b22, warm white #f2ede2, mid grey #7d828c, dark wood #3d2a1c. Every material's `name` must be exactly the palette colour it uses — the GLB carries these names so the kit recolours as one; an unnamed material fails delivery. Kit knob: expose a param `teamLiveries` (0–1, default 0.5) for the kit's "Team liveries" setting wherever it makes sense on this part, and keep that id.

Note: Size: about 5.03 m long from the nose tip to the rear wing endplates, 1.90 m wide over the front tyres (1.77 m over the front wing), and 0.95 m tall at the top of the rear wing. It sits on a 3.1 m wheelbase with 0.68 m wheels (0.30 m wide at the front, 0.38 m at the rear). The origin is at the bottom centre, the tyres rest on y = 0 and the front faces +Z. The exported model has 2,288 triangles in 34 meshes. Every material is named exactly after a kit palette colour (8 of the 12 at the defaults). The exporter writes one material per mesh, so a colour name appears on several materials: recolour by name. The baked clip scene-motion (6 s, seamless) moves only hinged parts: the wheels roll three whole turns on their axles, the front knuckles weave on kingpins through the wheel centres, the helmet turns on the driver's neck with the weave, and the DRS flap opens and closes once on its leading-edge hinge in the second half. The chassis never moves. Team liveries picks one of four schemes in quarter steps: dark tarmac body with white livery, white with flag colours, white with grass green (default), and green with white. The kit palette has no red, so there are no red accents; roundels are blank by library rule (no numbers, text or logos). The rolling wheels are 12-sided, so mid-roll frames can sink by up to about 1 cm at a facet; the rest pose sits exactly on y = 0. glb-lint reports no errors. Its remaining warnings are heuristic: material count/duplicates (one material per mesh), non-indexed flat-shaded geometry, nested sibling boxes, and the DRS flap, halo and wishbones flagged as detached because they only meet other parts' meshes. plan-check's part-id pattern rejects the hyphenated slug ids the library requires, so the plan was verified as PASS on a copy with the hyphens removed; three-check accepts the real ids. Both param extremes (all minimum, all maximum) pass three-check.
About the Race cars 3D model
Race cars is a free animated low-poly 3D model from the Racing Circuit set. It measures 2.0 m × 95 cm × 5.0 m (W × H × D) at real-world scale and is built from 2,288 triangles across 34 meshes, with 17 named parts and a baked animation (6.0 s). Download the 229 KB GLB and drop it into three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot or Blender — free for commercial use, no attribution required.
- Is the Race cars 3D model free for commercial use?
- Yes. It is free under the 1DesignTool 3D library license: use it in personal and commercial work — games, apps, websites, renders, ads and client projects — and modify it as you like, with no credit required. What you can't do is re-sell or re-distribute the file on its own or inside a model pack.
- What file format is it, and how big is it?
- A single binary glTF 2.0 file (.glb), 229 KB: 2,288 triangles, 4,620 vertices and 34 materials, modelled in metres at 2.0 m × 95 cm × 5.0 m.
- Is Race cars animated?
- Yes — the GLB carries a baked animation (6.0 s), ready to play with any glTF animation mixer.
- Which engines and tools can open it?
- Anything that reads glTF 2.0. three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, Godot 4 and Blender import the GLB directly; Unity and Unreal Engine load it through their glTF importers. The snippets above show the exact code for three.js, React Three Fiber, Godot and Blender.
- How was the Race cars 3D model made?
- Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5) generated it inside 1DesignTool's 3D template from a written brief, then the design kit's checks verified the geometry and the GLB before it was published. You can make your own the same way with 1DesignTool.
